NATS Cancellation Fun and Games
Apologies if this has already been raised elsewhere but I've not seen anyone else reporting this specific issue, so I'm not sure if it's just me or if it's more widespread.
I've finally decided to begin the claim process following our two cancelled BA flights on Black Monday after the issues with NATS systems. I was under the illusion that the BA site was back to behaving in it's usual fashion, but I've fallen at the first hurdle when trying to access the claims portal. Upon selecting the "cancelled flight option" on the complaints and claims section, I'm then taken to a page where you can select another cancellation refund option, with two tickboxes for "expenses incurred" or compensation (not applicable in this case as far as I'm aware). The "just a moment" holding message appears, then you're kicked back to the original choices at the start. Been through this process ten or so times tonight to no avail (also tried an alternative browser, which just gives the "account maintenance, can't log you in right now" message as soon as I try to access my account.
We had originally called BA about the claims, and we were told to use the claim form, so I'm at a loss where to go now, other than another call in the hope of getting someone helpful. Can anyone suggest an alternative path or am I stuck until this latest issue is resolved, if at all?
Cheers
J
