I booked business class ticket for 2 passengers IAH-NRT for May 2024 a couple of months ago and I need to change the last name on one of the tickets but when I called the CSR told me to cancel the booking then re-book (they are unable to modify names on award tickets). I am concerned that if I were to cancel my current booking then the 2 seats may not show up again. Has anyone cancelled an award ticket then rebooked the same flight? How long does it take for the points to show up again in my account? Thank you, this is my first post.
