I have understood that this is one of many AY's IT-issues and the free seating can't be done online, instead you need to contact the Finnair CS. I got the PE-seat for free as BA Gold (OWE), and as my daughter (OWR) wanted to try PE-seats I paid 65€ for hear seat. What wouldn't a dad do...
