If the airline decides to deny you boarding and they are incorrect, they have to pay.
Well someone have to prove they were incorrect to deny boarding, the source of information is everything in this case.
On several occasions (especially during COVID) I carried extra documentation to prove I'm eligible to fly the route I'm planning to fly and more than once I had to use it, I was never denied boarding but I'm pretty sure I would have if I hadn't carried said documentation with me.
