I thought latest version of rouge's seats are already slimmer than A220/7M8?
I suppose they can slim down the closet space, move the R3 lav to the rear, etc. to get a few inches here and there...

Rouge's A321 fits C12Y184, new mainline fits C16Y180...

Mainline has an extra row of Business class to fit in before economy class can begin.
I can argue that for the same seat count, the mainline is objectively denser in economy ?

To be fair, ironically the comfiest A321 is already in the rouge fleet with the 2 ex-EVA A321.
Maybe one day we will count being "Rouged" as a blessing.
