This is good to know thanks. May try to get back some miles then. Any advice on what to say or who to talk to?
There was a 016 ticket number prior to schedule change, and UA agent was saying a 016 ticket number is not indicative of successful ticketing/confirmation by BR and that it was never ticketed. Then she went on to say because it was never ticketed by BR, they are doing me a favor by putting me on UA metal, and that BR won't "open" space even if they asked, so it's a waste of time.
The reason I'd want to know if the agent is right/wrong is for future reference so I can push back if a reasonable agent or HUCA if not a reasonable agent. This particular itinerary is already reticketed on UA metal, though I'd prefer to stay on BR metal in case this occurs again in the future.
