Context; I live in the USA but originally from NL and therefore have made it to Flying Blue Gold over the past years due to lots of KLM & Delta travel in & out of the USA. It just happened this way and don't want to start from scratch with Delta SkyMiles.

Next week I'll be flying to Sao Paulo from SFO through ATL with Delta (PS on the international legs), as I do more regularly, using my FB Gold as FF details. The question is, on the return flight (GRU > ATL), I'm having a hard time figuring out if I am able to access any lounge in Terminal 3 at GRU. It seems as the LATAM VIP lounge is only for Delta business & Medaillon members, and SkyTeam only has a lounge in Terminal 2 for selected flights.

Anyone able to help out / has experience with lounge availability at GRU Terminal 3 for Flying Blue Gold / SkyTeam Elite Plus members?

Thanks!
Terminals 2 and 3 are interconnnected, so I would recommmend trying the T2 lounges: the GOL one should work, otherwise one of the 3 upstairs just after security. Use your KLM app to show the boarding pass so they understand you are an FB member: they will have been briefed not to let in SkyMiles members.

Prepare yourself for the eventuality that you do not get lounge access because of terminal logistics.

I flew MUC to DTW last week with DL and was told at check in that FB plats do not get lounge access. I tried my luck at the lounge anyway and got in with the KL boarding pass. The dragon was reluctant at first. I used the following phrase: "this is a KL codeshare and I bought the ticket through KL."

Later I raised the issue with the gate manager to find out the correct policy and he said STE+ do get access, apologized and bumped me up a class, which was a nice gesture.

Despite DL's horrible access policies, the DL lounges in the U.S appeared to be at full capacity with a queuing system in place at DTW and JFK. STE+ are put in a "b" queue which moves slower than the "priority" queue for DL elites.
DL gives access to anyone with a plat Amex, which seems to be the root cause of the overcrowding. If I were a DL elite, I would be furious about it.
