RM has done an interesting Q&A on Instagram. The property has not suffered any damage. And they confirm that most of the medina is actually intact. Only parts of it have been damaged or destroyed. RM, as well as LM and many businesses in Marrakech are inciting people to continue visiting the city. It’s evident that they fear a new blow to tourism after what they have been through during Covid19.
Think so, too... Marrakech is fine to visit -- absolutely safe and very little destruction. They have all been preparing for the big IMF event and most will be repaired by then. Another blow to tourism would be another disaster (after the disaster)... for all the business owners, artisans, chefs, waiters, therapists, tour guides, housekeepers, artists, etc. etc. etc.
