I could have sworn AAA rates were explicitly listed in the ToS as excluded. Plus I have always considered AAA rates as falling into that bucket I'm bolding below in the AAdvantageEShopping ToS. Interesting to know they're working for you. I may have to give it a shot. It is also possible they've changed the ToS in this regard. I know they definitely changed them for excluded brands. I found that out the hard way when I stayed at a W recently and got no AA miles, even though I have gotten them when I stayed there previously.
