Or should I book and enjoy good service, great hard product, nice scenery from the rooftop, etc?
The F&B credit of 50 dollars isn't great nor will it go far but it also isn't terrible and certainly not a reason to go or not go given the solid hard product of the property.
Yes there is a nice ambience and view from the rooftop.
As long as you are tanked you may even think then the food is tasty. Its beautifully visual
Is the food actually good or priced within reason no.
Though the service is fair enough and the team seems to care about guests and their satisfaction.
My issue in general is the GM she seems to have created a hard sell at check in forcing agents
to deny upgrades based on availability in a cat and mouse game.
Its a lovely hotel and they are milking the cash cow to the extreme.
I'll stay there on occasion and the end of the day for a solid hotel experience when paying the premium.
When they first opened they were extremely Diamond friendly and upgrading to suites
However current leadership is pushing the envelope (not a fan) and sadly it wont be a first as select hotels continue to downgrade benefits where they can
BTW how do you define dragon?
