OP did not have inadequate travel documentation. KL might have thought so, but they don't get to IDB a passenger without penalty because they think they have a reason. With the Argentine embassy confirming OP was good to travel, it's a slam dunk.

KLM can go ahead and sue ICTS Europe Systems for the loss incurred, but that's nothing to do with the pax. Same as if any other subcontractor or vendor caused a delay. Like if a defective part from Boeing caused the flight to AMS to be grounded, KLM does not get to wash their hands and send pax to sue Boeing.
