Planning to stay a night here in January after a morning arriving (8:00 am) TPAC flight and will spend a jet-lag recovery night there before heading up to KUL mid afternoon the following day.

I stayed last year and got a nice upgrade, I was diamond paying cash then, but will be platinum (with lounge access) using points this time. My last experience was OK... nice upgrade to a suite, but executive lounge was closed, I thought the restaurant was pretty meh, and just hated Club 75. And yes it was spendy but the convenience was worth it and in any event, what hotel in SIN ISN'T spendy....

An earlier post mentioned an article that said the lounge would be open early Q2 2023 and I haven't seen any reports since then, so I'm curious what the status is and what offerings they have...e.g. breakfast, happy hour etc. Also has anyone had any success in getting an early check-in here? I know 9:00am is pretty early but it is an airport hotel so.... In any event i would assume I could hang out at the pool or the lounge if it is open, until the room is ready.

Alternatively, I could take a taxi to Bugis which doesn't take long at all, and stay at the Inter, which I know has a great exec lounge and food options, and since I really don't have a time crunch for the flight the next day it makes the CP convenience factor not as important. This would cost a few more points, but pretty sure my chances of an early check-in there would be pretty limited.

If the lounge at CP is still closed or is sub-par, I'm leaning on going into town and staying at the IC.
