I'm not sure if a stopover is allowed for o/w awards.

You would need to call TK CS to make the reservation. Rather than explaining the agent about stopover etc. I would just furnish the agent with preferred travel dates. Another option is to call to make the reservation without stopover, put the reservation on hold (72 hours is allowed) then call again and ask for the last or first leg to be rebooked to different date.
