Hotel: Park Hyatt Melbourne
Room Booked: King room
Rate: $174 (averaged over 4 nights, with a stay 3 nights get 1 free offer bringing the average cost down)
Early Check-in: We arrived around 1pm and got into our room right away
Late Check-out: Proactively offered 4pm
Upgrade: Deluxe King (which is bigger than a suite)
Breakfast: Breakfast for 2, which included a nice buffet plus additional dishes made to order
Credit: $140 AUD credit, which can be used for dining venues, room service, spa services, etc. Could not be used for tips. We shared a couple dishes in the lounge one evening, and I ordered room service dinner one night, and we still had credit left over.
Welcome Amenity: Small package of chocolate in the room
Comments: We really enjoyed our stay. The room was huge (646 sq ft). Not the newest hotel, but nothing seemed worn, broken, etc. It is a few blocks from the CBD, but an easy walk, and we liked that it was not too loud right around the hotel.

Hotel: Four Seasons Sydney
Room Booked: Deluxe City Room King
Rate: $250
Early Check-in: Not used
Late Check-out: Not used, but proactively offered
Upgrade: It was ridiculously loud in the lobby when we checked in. I thought they said we were given a city view room, but we were on one of the highest floors and had some view of the water and a good view of the Opera House, so I think it was a Partial Harbour view room
Breakfast: Breakfast for 2 in the restaurant. We were leaving early, and they said we could use it for room service, though ultimately we skipped it.
Credit: $144 AUD credit, which we used at the Grain Bar/Restaurant.
Welcome Amenity: There was a bottle of wine on the table that was separate from the mini bar, which I think was a welcome amenity, but it was not obvious and we ended up just leaving it there.
Comments: Overall we were underwhelmed. There was some big group that was having a reception that spilled into the lobby the night we were there, which just made it very chaotic. After checking in, when we got to our room, housekeeping was in the room. When we finally got into the room, it was quite small (280 sq ft). What made it worse was how they used the small footprint. There was a separate shower and bathtub, so the bathroom felt really claustrophobic. They also used a fair bit of shelf space for the big mini bar/snack setup. My significant other said it felt like staying in the smallest room on a cruise ship. We used the credit at Grain, which was not a good experience. The food was not great, the place was really loud and service was extremely slow (though friendly). After that, we decided to skip breakfast and just head to the airport to eat there. We liked the location, but it just felt like a forgettable Marriott or Westin conference hotel, not like a Four Seasons. But the price was about the same as the nearby Marriott and Westin, and we did not regret staying here, given our short time in Sydney.
