FWIW it was not a new M&S member. I had this membership for at least 5 years, and 4 years ago I transferred points from exactly the same Citi account as today (used to buy a ticket from Europe to Ethiopia IIRC). I just did not keep any miles there because my main Star Alliance account is with United.

The obscure part was the name "Refund of numbered ticket". What is "numbered ticket" and where did the number 19,250 come from?
