There has been a lot of back and forward here about the value of AC branded credit cards to AC. The fact that AA is willing to give the equivalent of E50K / *A Gold to people who spend $75,000 on an AA branded card, even if they don't set foot on a plane, gives us a rough idea of the order of magnitude. It is worth roughly the same to them as someone who spends $9,375 on fares ex taxes
I don't have anything positive to say about a "frequent flyer program" that gives higher value to a convenience-store owner who stocks their shelves through a credit card, and flies once a year, than to someone who's flying the airline every week.
