Points booking - 2 months cancellation policy?
I just booked for the 27th Dec to the 1st Jan, using points.
However, I realised that the cancellation policy was cancel by 28th Oct - rather than the usual super-flexible day before, for redemption bookings.
I played around with dates, and sure enough - it looks like around that Christmas week, the cancellation dates are 2 months before. However, any other date, it is one day before.
Is this normal Hilton policy, that certain peak periods have longer cancellation periods? Or should I call up Hilton to process a booking over the phone with the standard one-day cancellation?
