Today the single-aisle cabin density is four seats per 36-38" pitch (domestic F config) or 4 seats per ~50" pitch (752). The new design will be 4 seats per ~56" pitch (assuming the 28" pitch in the diagram; there are other mentions up to 30"). So, yes, most bags will have to go overhead. But the cabin should have enough space for that with the newer bins and the number of seats in the cabin.
