When flying in Y both airlines are equally decent, you'll get free drinks and sandwich.
CDG has better lounges but worst connection times. And seeing as you have a very short connection you wont be able to use the lounge with either option to be honest.
A220 is a slightly better plane, but not worth the extra connection hassle.
Thanks Maestro, I should have mentioned that easiest connection is a big factor. Disappointed to hear I'm unlikely to have lounge time in either case, but understandable. Good to hear about free drinks - haven't had that on NZ shorthaul international Y in years.
