Ice in some countries is a bit of a noro problem. Noro is a remarkable pathogen and can even survive 4% bleach for a short while, but that's where the avoidance of ice is often mentioned, since in some parts of the world the ice making process is difficult to be sure about, ditto salads recently water washed. But I wouldn't personally avoid airline ice. And it's not filtering you need to worry about.
