Yea - my routing was originally to Japan but returning from Seoul, so the non-changeable fare was not even an option. I requested a change to return from Tokyo, and I guess then the nonchangeable fare became available to the agent and they just booked me in it? I called in again, and the agent after a while did confirm the previous agent mucked things up, and they offered to make the ticket changeable again, but they said they would need to cancel the full amount of the flight credit I got. This is definitely not right, because I remember the changed routing was cheaper with a normal, changeable fare, but I'm too annoyed to get into another long phone call again. Plus I got a PlusPoint upgrade notification for that return leg while I was on the phone, so I might be pretty happy to stick with it after all. Just find it kind of ridiculous to be told when I asked how to prevent this that I need to remind the phone agent not to downgrade into a nonchangeable fare.
