BA didn't fail. They don't have enough aircraft and crew, so they are prioritising the USA as thats where the most profits are. When they have more aircraft and crew I would expect KUL and BKK to restart, some time around 2025.
Both BA and KLM retired the 747s during the pandemic so obviously, both have significantly reduced fleets. So how come despite that, why did KLM maintain KUL then?
