App Mi Taxi (CDMX Taxi app) has been around for some time now, but today 9 Sept 23, the city signed agreements to upgrade the app to assist the public in staying safe. In the near future it will contain security features to help prevent crimes, like a panic button. All taxis will be monitored live via GPS in the app.

The app right now is solely located within the App CDMX which you can download off google play/app store.

The city will sanction and fine taxi drivers who use their taxi for other purposes. Hopefully they incorporate the use of credit/debit cards. But, the driver's information and license permit number is displayed on the app.

I think if they incorporate digital payments, it would definitely cut down on fraud, and then I might use them😁
