The idea of cutting line and people grumbling at you is like....peak nightmare for a Midwesterner.
From what I see of line cutting requests at CPH passport control, I don’t see much visible grumbling when the person asks nicely if they can do so because their flight is about to leave. But that’s mainly in the All Passports line where Scandinavians tend to be a smaller proportion of those stuck waiting in line.

Sometimes CPH has airport assistance workers at the C exit passport control area calling up people who have imminent non-Schengen flights, but it’s become rarer than it used to be and the CPH-ORD flight has been the least likely of the SAS flights to the US to have that even on days when CPH would have those airport assistance workers helping people cut the line and make flights.
