One bus - which takes about 1h30 - vs 3 trains.
If missing the direct flibco bus between MXP and Turin, isn’t the wait for the next bus typically over an hour? I recall there being rather long times between the scheduled flibco buses even during its hours of operation and am currently juggling the idea between flying non-stop to MXP and using public transit to getting to Turin or flying non-stop into NCE and driving. [For going between NCE and Turin there is also some bus option, but not going to count on that bus service.]
