Unusually after i finished my soup i didnt see the crew for a while, when i did get the crews attention they asked if i wanted dessert. I explained i hadnt recieved my beef main, they then apologised and went to get it.... But came back to say there were no mains left the flight attendant was extremely embarrased, he said that they could plate up the chicken down the back to look nice. I declined and just had the cheeseboard.
Was that CW or CS? I've seen a couple of posts I think, saying they've been left out of service when in CS. As if the crew operate by line of sight. I'd have thought it'd be automated in some way (checklist, etc etc) but maybe not?

eta, sorry, just seen it was a LGW flight and I don't think they have CS?
