For a refund I would definitely agree here, and as I just posted should have been enough for me to say I’ll deal with on my own later and hang up.
But also this was EU/UK compensation which the one time in past I’ve had happen, BA has had me use a bank transfer to receive. So for me it wasn’t surprising that they couldn’t do it to my Card, but should certainly have been when they started asking for other cards. Lesson learned, I hope.
For what I know, compensations for UK/EC261 are never sent to a CC, only to a bank account.
