Stayed at the Marriott Long Wharf on Labor Day evening. Was surprised at all of the upsells. They wanted a fee for early check in - which fortunately I did not need. I applied a suite night upgrade certificate to the one night stay and of course it was not fulfilled. At check in they offered a $95 upgrade to a suite that was supposedly not in the pool of suites used for SNAs. I declined since they refused to honor the SNA. The M Club is just a room off of the restaurant that's only open for breakfast - no evening appetizers. M Club users may partake of the regular buffet in the restaurant. So the good news is there is a breakfast benefit for elites. I've not received the upsell treatment at any other Marriott property that I can recall. The $30 destination fee may be applied in whole to food and beverage charges at the property.
