In my opinion every luxury hotel should have this amenity. I've had these in every home I've owned since I started going to Japan 30 years ago and it's really a hardship to be without them. I have found that hotels will sometimes not have them in every room, but will have them on certain floors to accommodate Japanese guests. I have found this especially to be true in China and Southeast Asia. So it always pays to ask.
