The point I was trying to make to you was I don't see the ability to "drop" the CPH-LHR leg just because BA cancelled it. AA are obliged to get you from CPH to your destination. You could invoke the 300 mile rebook policy but that's not going to include London. Get your alternative itinerary in place still departing CPH and similarly get BA to do the same to your positioning flight.
