When traveling to LGA, I imagine that the odds of getting a seat on the Q70 would be better if one boarded at Woodside (coming off the LIRR or the #7), rather than at Jackson Heights. Would probably add a few minutes to the total trip time.
Definitely better getting on at the first stop unless you want standing room only.
Actually took the Q70 last week to go from LGA to JFK. This was 4:00 so the E ran local but still took less than one hour to get between both airports.
