I would agree with the consensus that it's the best thing both morally and for recovery to rest in the hotel for a few days. Use the message function to check into leniency and even if they aren't lenient, it's probably wise to pay the fare difference and fee to move the flight out a few days.

That being said, shortly after the mask mandate was lifted, I sat directly next to a pax on two consecutive flights who was sick and I did not have a mask and neither of them were wearing masks. I don't know what the first pax had, but I noticed the second pax texting that he had covid. I thought for sure I would get something, but never did. After that experience, at least you know that you might* not get everyone on board with you sick, but still PLEASE do not travel if you are sick.
