Oh my! Just reading the title "Flying standby with checked bags on Basic Economy" made me feel anxious... for me, this may be the most stressful idea I've seen on FlyerTalk. Standby... basic economy... checked bag... all in one sentence!! (((Shudders))) Kudos to Quarantine for being bold enough to try it!
