I think we are on the same boat. The majority of aircrafts used for DOH-AUH are 737 MAX which only has eight seats in two rows. For some reason, QR always blocks the first row for first class (within GCC, business class seats are sold as first class). So you won’t be able to select seats if row two is full. Just wait for check in open then you can select your seat.
