There must be some sort of lag in putting new flights/routes into Seat Bid. Tomorrow I'm on the first flight on the CLT-ORD route (which according to a friend at NK is an A319 with 111 open seats at this point) and no email on BFS and not a single one is occupied. The buy-up is $86. I'll see what they want for it at the airport or be content with a row of regular seats to myself for 90 minutes.
BFS pricing has some anomalies still... on a CLT-MCO flight this weekend, at check in time, it was asking $290 for BFS (it was $286 at 48 hours prior). Which is a bit obscene for a 60 minute flight. And probably explains why Seat Bid is like clockwork on this route... I got a BFS for $32. Which I'll take on a $14 ticket bought at airport. That was after getting the "outbid" email. The person next to me told me they paid $100 and thought it was a good deal in relation to the regular retail price. He asked me what I paid and I just kind of said "in the neighborhood."
