Be warned you can also be charged by PlatePass, even if you do register your transponder to the license plate (as I did with my North Carolina transponder). Half my tolls on an Orlando trip did not register to my transponder account, even though I had it in the vehicle and the plate registered to it. I still had to pay the toll-by-mail rate for those tolls, but the admin fee was waived after I sent the confirmation of the added vehicle.
