If I recall correctly, you cannot use olci/seat selection on ANA website, until your initial UA-operated flight closes the door after boarding.
At UA kiosk checkin, you can access and change your ANA seat.. don't recall if that's the case for UA OLCI
other ANA passengers (first flight on ana) would have been able to checkin&change seats during ANA checkin (ANA-flight T-24 hour)
