When I took my mom to SFO we had 2D and 2K. It was great given 1D/K were empty. 1A and 2A were taken. So we had a nice bit of space on our side, and I could keep an eye on my 80 y/o mother!
But that’s about the only time I’d take a middle seat!
Indeed, we always take 2D&K as a couple (we did it many dozens time).
These seats are great for a couple and I hardly see the attraction of looking through the window, except possibly at takeoff and landing.
The middle seat 2D has a high wall on the A aisle.
