You don’t have to as the manifest indicates. As a 1K, I asked for a PDB earlier this year, and she said “when we’re in the air, sir.” Two minutes later, the drink showed up. She checked the manifest. Most pax upfront are no longer status but kettles so it can be a surprise to the FA.
Why is someone who doesn't hold status a "kettle" as that sounds a bit derogatory? If I'm a 1K on United and then go fly Deltas a non-status, does that make me a kettle there?
