Agree with the majority though on two separate tickets, lot less backup if things go pear shaped so unless you have a flex ticket for the onward I'd overnight also.
Likewise especially on 2 separate tickets, gives more peace of mind, more relaxing in general however even then it's still not 100% but almost likely to have no issues.
I'm generally risk averse so much so that my son sometimes calls me Captain Cautious!!
