I flew into LAX yesterday (yes, Labor Day, when booked somehow I forgot....) and it was best described as 'organised chaos'. I really hate LAX, especially if you hire a car. Once you get through immigration, there's a huge scrum outside where cars dropping off/picking up passengers fight with the buses. I've never understood why they allow that. Makes Heathrow look like a sea of calm outside.

If I could, I'd avoid LAX at all costs. One of the most disorganised and chaotic airports in the US.
