Why is traveling without insurance nuts if I can get the airline to cover what they owe me? Why would I pay extra for something I can get for free? And yes, I just emailed SAS repeatedly until they finally gave in. All the compensation claims are subcontracted to some outshore service center that will repeatedly say no until you wear them down.
