Hi All. I’m hoping to get some advice on who to talk to at United about this situation as Reservations says it’s MileagePlus and MP says it’s Reservations and they keep transferring me back and forth.

I requested PlusPoint upgrades for two flights. I was waitlisted on both. I canceled the upgrades but the system is still showing them as requested (one shows it’s out of sync and the other is just sitting there as if it’s still requested). I ended up cancelling one of the flights hoping it would then come off the request list but it’s still sitting there.

The problem I’m having most importantly is that I cannot seem to request any more PP upgrades now. I had a total of 200 left and it says 240 requested. I have no valid requests now though. When attempting to use PP now I get an error saying there is an issue with the payment.

Any suggestions who can fix this? I have chatted with several agents online who have given me excuses (it’s canceled so don’t worry about it, it’s lag on the website it’ll clear up in 24 hours, MP has to unreserve the points, Reservations has to cancel it). I’ve emailed 1kvoice and am awaiting a reply. Before I call to talk to someone I would love advice on which department I should work with. Thanks in advance!

*** RESOLVED ***
One last attempt to get help online and the Twitter agent was able to “fully delete the requests”. They did what 8 other chat agents couldn’t. I would have deleted the post but didn’t see an option to do so. Hopefully this helps someone who might have the same problem.
