I have a question regarding suite certificates and max occupancy. I had booked a standard room (2 adults) in a Regency in the EU at the normal cash rate.

Needed to add a third adult, so tried applying a suite certificate to the standard suite as it can accommodate 3 persons on the description. The upgrade and change of number of guests went through, but my nightly rate literally doubled and is now close to the cash rate of the suite.

Any idea of why I can do here? Just book the suite cash directly or book another property?
