Really? I've found the best service in the world is in China and Thailand. By far.
I just came back from Bangkok and Pattaya, and the service in Thailand is 192384817293471892349 times better than the service in China (Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu), especially for hotels at the same price range. I cannot wait to get out of here and go back to Southeast Asia.

I like the Hyatt JDV which is right next to Sanlitun and cheap. Rooms are small. Not sure if connecting but you can book 2 cheaply and location great.
I stayed 5 nights there before moving to the PH. The suites are big enough and there are connecting rooms. The breakfast was sad, but otherwise it's a lot cheaper than the PH and closer to Sanlitun. Definitely recommend.
