I ask this just out of curiosity as to the circumstances. Once she "found out" you're a 1K and responded to you like that. Did you tell her your status? I just wonder sometimes when I read things like this on the forum (like the flight attendant "found out" it's my birthday while doing the coach drink service).
To the person who posted getting thanked for status on Delta as a Silver in economy, I've even been thanked without status on Delta. The flight attendants receive a list of people to specifically thank on their handheld devices. I had a F/A on DL Connection walk around looking at her device and come up to me then two other seemingly random individuals and say that we had been selected to be recognized for our business.
I don't care so much about the thank you. What I'd rather is that regardless of status, when I buy that last minute ticket into First I want first choice of meals ahead of anybody who got a freebie upgrade, whether they are a 1K or whatever it is on the particular airline. That's what has really irked me... buy a ticket day of departure, too late to choose a meal, which at that point kind of was counting on as a nice-to-have given the time crunch, and get last choice - to something I'm allergic to - because everyone else in the front cabin is higher tier (I'll give that say half bought First, but you can see from the app that more than that number were cleared from the upgrade list).
