Most of us are earning our keep through our loyalty and booking through Hyatt's direct booking channels
In a situation as described I would have expected complimentary room service, points or a credit on my bill to dine where they could serve me in around or under an hour
Anything less that that is amateur hour.
If the hotel isn't getting it as I have suggested many times before reach out to the good folks at Hyatt Consumer Affairs
they are typically really good at solving simple stuff like this. They have more often than not restored my faith.
It's a Regency - which is a resort factory and/or convention hotel. They couldn't care less..To be honest, they are better than the Hyatt Regency in Monterey. In Monterey they never even acknowledge Globalist status and never once in 5 stays offered an upgrade - nothing. And whenever I asked they said it's all full - always. And even when I showed them available better rooms in the app they said it's a mistake in the system.
So compared to that, they are at least pro-active with your wishes. After I complained about the breakfast, it appears they also took lunch off our bill - they didn't say anything but it just never showed up except for the tip..
It's not the employees that are the problem, everyone is super friendly, the place is just overcrowded. I bet mid-week it is just fine but avoid on holiday weekends.
