Its all one booking. First flight from Inverness to Amsterdam is KLM amd the one from Amsterdam to Atlanta then from there to San Francisco is with Delta. When I go onto my booking and attempt to buy an additional piece of luggage the message is

"Unfortunately, it is​​​ not possible to buy additional baggage online for this flight, as it is operated by another airline. Please do so during online check-in".
