We used to back when there was a difference between Lunch and Dinner. Was a pain to warm up because most narrowbodies don't have bun warmers. you had to remove 3-4 racks out of the oven (9-12 entrees) to heat the bread before serving. lots of FAs would skip this step and serve cold.
I was going to say that I do remember warm bread service on domestic F routes in the not so distance past. Maybe like 5-6 years ago? I remember it being brought around in a basket.
