You should give it a go, you don't specify an amount in your claim, you just claim for EC261. It's possible BA will turn it down, on the basis they got you to London, but I'm not sure their IT is sharp enough in this area.
Correct, the Calculator will throw up 0% and £0. There is however a warning generated and as long as whomever is filling it in actually reads the warning and the claimant supplies BA with a ground journey time LGW-LHR it will indeed provide a correct answer of 100% compensation due.
